The uninformed

Why is it that so many people are so totally uninformed. Today a self proclaimed tea partier was claiming that the recession was Obama's fault. Nothing could be further from the truth. If you want to blame a Democrat blame Clinton. Clinton signed the repeal of the Glass-Steagall act. He also favored free trade and most favored nation status to China. No the presidents who set the stage for what we have now were Reagan, Bush 1, Clinton, and Bush 2. Obama is trying to clean this up but he can't get anything except the first stimulus through Congress (which Bush had actually proposed).

I also keep hearing that the stimulus didn't work. Gee, Madison has 2 road projects going on right now that are largely funded with Federal Money. Lets not forget the amount of federal money that flows into the UW.

Snowplow study

In response to Republican legislators (who don't represent Madison) the city did a study of how to better plow the streets during a blizzard. The study is out and surprise, surprise the solution involves spending an additional $2.6 million dollar expenditure per year plus the cost of 20 additional snowplows. The problem is that the city is broke. Mayor Dave should just drop the study off with Steve Nass and Glenn Grothman so that they can fund it after all they want cleaner roads.

Family Dynamics

Have you ever noticed that some families run a double standard as part of their dynamics? I have always known that you would never say some things to complete strangers that you say to relatives, see "The Amazing Race". So this most recent example shouldn't have come as a surprise but yet it did. In this case my entire family first made it out that the fact that the desktop ran out of disk space. OK fine, I off load my limited amount of stuff but to no avail, still not enough space. So I added another drive and discover that the ***** music files were on the system 2 and 3 times and I'm the one that is the idiot. Doesn't make sense. But then again I'm always wrong, even when I'm right.
